Engagements: Katie+Doug

You have to love an engagement session that comes with the disclaimer, "wear plenty of bug spray, the mosquitos are terrible." No exaggeration...they were terrible. But when you're shooting on a family farm with treasures at every turn who has time to worry about that pesky insect sucking its daily quota out of your arm? Here are some pictures from my fun session with a fun couple, Katie & Doug. I'm honored to be shooting their wedding in November!

A Boy & His Bear: A Love Story

I am blessed to do what I do. I get to play outside and meet some awesome and inspirational people. Like Roa and his parents. Roa has cerebral palsy and an infectious smile. He is a little guy that loves to be moving around and checking things out. And he has a bear, Mr. Bear, who has magical powers. Try as he might, Roa can't help but smile whenever Mr. Bear is anywhere in the area. And...he's going to be a big brother soon! He's a boy with a lot of things going on! Check out his blog. His momma does a great job with it. It's fun and inspiring and very informative. http://rojosjourney.blogspot.com/

Weddings: Stacy & Patrick

Stacy & Patrick's wedding day began as most other days in June...with rain. But there were no dampened spirits inside the church, because there was a celebration to be had. And with a wedding party of 20+, a celebration there surely would be! Here are some pictures from a beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple. Congratulations, Patrick & Stacy!

Little boy blue

Get ready for a crash course in May sessions. I had one solid week that was jam packed with one year olds. Boy one year olds. Most of which had blue eyes. Are they offering a pill now during pregnancy that can make your child's eyes blue, because I was never offered that pill? Blue eyes are everywhere & I love it!

My lone lady one year old in a sea of boys has no problem holding her own. These kids are adorable & hilarious & it must be said...it was so hot & humid the day of our session but Mom was committed to putting her little man in a sweater vest...and I love her for it!

A kid that makes my job easy...

I love, love, love shooting Alex. He cracks me up because as soon as I get my camera out he tracks me like a hawk, watching my every move. It would almost make me nervous if he wasn't so dang cute. Alex got to share the spotlight this session with Mom & Dad for some engagement photos. I had the pleasure of shooting their wedding this past Saturday & hope to have some pictures up soon. Congrats to a beautiful family!
