Special Events: Baby Shower

I love shooting events, so when asked to shoot Jay and Michelle's baby shower I of course was thrilled! I've been shooting this family for the past few years and they've always been great to me and a lot of fun to shoot. Congratulations Jay and Michelle!!

Man on the Move

Meet Weston. This is a man on the move, so if you're taking his picture make sure you're wearing proper footwear! Here are some pictures of my session with Weston as he explored Lakeside Park in Forest Lake. Thanks for a fun and energetic session, Weston!

Playtime with Logan

Whether he's playing with trucks or chairs or bubbles or dogs, Logan does it with a smile on. This little man certainly won't let some wet grass dampen his playtime mood! Thanks for a fun session, Logan!

Spring Weddings: Joanna & Chris

I had the pleasure of taking a road-trip up to the gorgeous Lutsen Resort on Lake Superior in Lutsen, Minnesota to shoot Chris & Joanna's wedding. The weather was beautiful, the views amazing, the mood both fun & romantic. Congratulations to a beautiful couple & wishing them many, many years of all the love & adventure marriage can bring!

I'm a huge fan of shooting the wedding paparazzi in action!
The dining room at Lutsen Resort was absolutely stunning!

A wedding on the North Shore wouldn't feel right if you weren't indulging in pies from Betty's Pies for your after dinner dessert.

Lovely little Lucy

All of my newborn sessions have been with boys lately and I thought maybe they were taking over the world...then little Lucy came along. She is sweet and adorable and a pleasure to shoot. I look forward to many sessions to come with Lucy and her family.

Here's a before and after of Lucy (mommy's pregnant belly in the frame behind her). LOVE Lucy's wrinkles in this picture!

I heart these girls

I always know I'm in for a good time when I have a session with Chloe, Paris, & Harper. They make my job easy because 1. they're adorable and energetic, 2. they're rarely not smiling, and 3. they love offering up their own posing ideas! Here are some pics from my recent session with Harper, which naturally turned into a family affair!

The beautiful family...

Looking forward to seeing you again in a few weeks!

Brand new baby Brody

When your cousin has a baby what is that...second cousin...first cousin once removed...or your cousin's baby? I'm going to play it safe and call him my cousin's baby boy. And an adorable little boy he is! I had the pleasure of shooting Brody at his home. He must have felt obligated to entertain his guest as he was wide awake during what is usually his naptime...a growing trend with newborn sessions for me! Here are a few pics from our session.

Brody was not diggin' the chair but I love the little Popeye face he's making!

See you soon, Brody! I look forward to watching you grow!

A photographer's dream

I'm trying to recall if Olivia was ever not smiling during our session...looking back through the pictures I'm going to have to say no. What an absolute sweetheart! And those eyes! This is one happy girl I'm always happy to shoot!

Upset? Absolutely not! Just playing a game of peek-a-boo!

swings = happiness

For my one year session with Oliver I was once again introduced to a great park: Lake George Regional Park in Oak Grove. Another park I will for sure be frequenting on hot sunny days with the kids in tow. I've been shooting Oliver since he was brand new and he and his family have always been so kind and a lot of fun. This was our first session away from Oliver's house. I think peek-a-boo and swinging were his favorites...and quite possibly the string cheese.

Hooray for spontaneity!

Moses is a little guy with a smile so big you can't help but smile back. And he smiles a lot. What started out as a walk in the park turned into basically a swim in the lake...minus the bathing suit! Before you know it mom and dad kicked off their shoes to get in on the fun too. I'm not going to say the water was freezing but I won't say it was warm either! Thanks Moses, for a really fun afternoon of picture taking!

P.S. A perfect example of why a change of clothes is highly recommended :)

A walk in the park

Here's Archie! I've had the pleasure of documenting his first year in pictures and here we are at six months already! Archie has a great family with a couple of dogs that have fabulous photo etiquette. Honestly, they could teach their own class.
