On the Run with Miss O

First things first.  Someone needs to figure out a way to bottle a child's energy.  I would buy that.

Meet Miss O.  I met her and her Mama at Silverwood Park in St. Anthony on a beautiful late afternoon in May.  I've taken pictures with little Miss O on several occasions, and after her mom and I had a good laugh over an embarrassing moment (self-induced) from a previous session, we got down to the business of making silly faces, playing and having all kinds of fun.  Miss O is super cute with an infectious smile.  And on this day she was all about exploring.  And I was all about chasing her, everywhere, in that adorable dress.  Isn't that dress so sweet?  Here are some pictures from our session. Enjoy!

Catch Me If You Can: My Session with B & F

To say that I am a multi-tasker would be an exaggeration.  Actually, it would be a down-right lie.  My husband would tell you that I have a difficult time chewing gum and composing a complete sentence at the same time.  And I wouldn't have much of an argument, as I struggle to write this blog post and listen to music at the same time!  In fact, I just had to break from writing to do a little dance in my chair to SexyBack by Justin Timberlake.  Anyways...I do, however, love taking pictures, crazy cute kids, and exercise that doesn't feel like exercise.  Combine those three things and you have my session with B & F.  On our first attempt at their session we were rained out.  Weird, I know, it's hardly rained at all this spring (heavy on sarcasm).  We tried again the next morning with sunny skies.  There's so much brotherly love between these two.  So cute!  Full of smiles and energy.  The little man was going full speed ahead the entire session and was never without a smile on his face.  It was a fun way to start off the day!  Thanks for spending the morning with me boys!

Happy Birthday to One Smiley Guy!

Boys+1 year sessions typically equal a fair amount of chaos (especially when they're exploring all the newfound freedoms that walking brings), but Mason must have been in the mood to break all the rules! He was all laughs and smiles and barely took his eyes off me during our session. Now that I think about it I probably should have been more self-conscious! Thanks for making my job easy, Mason...and happy birthday!!

I love how Mason took a break to check out his and mommy's shadows :)

Blue Eyed Beauties

First of all, one thing I love about this family is that when I arrived at their house Mom already had all the furniture pushed to the middle of the living room because she knew I'd immediately start rearranging everything. What can I say, she knows me! I had a great time playing around with Alex while her baby sister, Morgan, caught up on some beauty rest. We had a tea party, jumped on the bed, and talked princesses. I think all my Saturdays need to kick off that way. Here are some pictures from my session with a couple of beauties...

Morgan wasn't really handing out smiles that day, but she's still pretty dang cute without them.So I know this is a little headless horseman-ish, but it is a shining example of the big sister/little sister dynamic. Thanks for the fun, ladies!

Cutie Patootie

I have a really great job. I get to hang out with little beauties like Chesney and play and laugh. I'm a glorified clown with a camera! :) Chesney was fresh and ready for our session. She was just waking up from a nap when I arrived, which was great because she needed her energy for her four outfit changes (love it)! Thanks for a fun session, Chesney...and Mommy, too!

Chesney was not totally diggin' the great outdoors but she was a trooper and we got some sled pics. There was a pretty chilly breeze that day. I am SO ready for spring!

Twins in a Tub

So anyone who has recently had a toddler session with me knows I'm going through a bit of a bathtub phase. My session with the always adorable twins, Ruby and Josie, was no exception. In fact, almost our entire session was in the bathtub due to the fact we were getting dangerously close to naptime and the tub seemed to be their happy place. Love, love, love Ruby's smirk in this first pic...priceless!Ruby checking out the suds on her hand. She's hiding it well but Josie's having a blast. Our brief departure from the bathtub...
Great session with a couple of my favorite little ladies. Did I mention Ruby is my Goddaughter? She is. I promise to put some clothes on you gals sometime between now and your senior pictures ;)

boys being boys

My session with Milo epitomizes my philosophy on any session with a two year old boy...let them do their thing and just try to keep up! If they're happy, I'm happy, and on our little outdoor adventure I think Milo was very happy. I wish I had as much awe and enthusiasm as this boy! There was excitement at every turn. But if I was a two year old boy surrounded by heavy equipment I guess I'd be pretty excited, too. Our first stop was inside the bucket of a giant bulldozer (I think). Lucky Milo, the bucket was full of water. Water boots were a very smart choice by mom!

On goes the helmet for some hockey shots...

My playdate with Lucy

I love my sessions with Lucy and her family. They're always a lot of fun. This time I got to hear Daddy serenade his little lady with a song on the guitar he wrote just for her, and watch Lucy crawl around chasing cats and chewing on anything she could get her hands on!

I know that we don't want them as we get older, but I LOVE side rolls on babies!! Any kind of rolls on babies, actually!
Thanks for a fun session, Lucy! Looking forward to your one year session. I'm sure there will be dancing!

Chasin' Mason

When I arrived at Mason's house he was just waking up from a nap. He stared at me untrustingly for the first 10 minutes I was there. I've been shooting Mason since he was a couple of weeks old, so it took me holding my camera up in front of my face for him to recognize me. Then we were old pals after that. Here are some pictures of this little man on the move.

Dad had a little blue sled for Mason to sit in outside, but it was a bit on the chilly side and starting to rain (in January?). Needless to say, Mason was not digging it! I can't blame him. We'll get outside for your 12 month session, Mason! And I'll be sure to wear a good pair of tennis shoes so I can keep up to you!
