Chasin' Mason

When I arrived at Mason's house he was just waking up from a nap. He stared at me untrustingly for the first 10 minutes I was there. I've been shooting Mason since he was a couple of weeks old, so it took me holding my camera up in front of my face for him to recognize me. Then we were old pals after that. Here are some pictures of this little man on the move.

Dad had a little blue sled for Mason to sit in outside, but it was a bit on the chilly side and starting to rain (in January?). Needless to say, Mason was not digging it! I can't blame him. We'll get outside for your 12 month session, Mason! And I'll be sure to wear a good pair of tennis shoes so I can keep up to you!

School of Rock: Eden Prairie's turn to Rock!

The St. Paul school set the bar pretty high going into the Paul Green School of Rock concert last weekend, and the Eden Prairie kids did not disappoint! Man these kids make me feel like an underachiever, they are so talented! This time around the kids rocked out to songs by Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They still won't let me enroll (age for enrollment is 8-18 years) but at least now I have a t-shirt.

Both schools had their Best of Season show at Bogart's Night Club in Apple Valley this past Saturday. I brought my little rocker-in-waiting (she's got a couple years until she's old enough to hit the stage) and got to experience a show sans my camera. Looking forward to what next season brings!

My playdate with Josie

Here's a beautiful little lady I've been taking pictures of since she was in her momma's tummy! Red hair and blue eyes...just like big brother (who had a blast hiding behind all of my equipment during our session!). Thanks for all the smiles, Josie!

Baby It's Cold Outside-Lindsey & Mark's Engagement Session

I love a break from the ordinary, so when bride-to-be Lindsey requested I shoot their engagement session on a frozen lake in mid-January I was all for it! We did have to reschedule once, considering a sub-zero outdoor session probably wasn't a great idea. When the temperature climbed to a balmy 30 degrees we hit the ice. Sure it was chilly, but overall it was a fun shoot with a great couple. Looking forward to your wedding in August (I'm not requesting snow for that one though!).

These Kids ROCK (literally)

I had a really awesome opportunity to shoot a concert for the St. Paul School of Rock last weekend at the Rock Night Club in Maplewood. Kids that attend the school range from 8-18 years of age (No adults. Even after pleading with the General Manager I was turned down). These kids play an array of instruments and rock it to songs ranging from AC/DC to Michael Jackson to Styx. Definitely not your average school recital! I'm looking forward to shooting another concert next weekend for the Eden Prairie school at Bogart's in Apple Valley. Here are some highlights from the St. Paul School of Rock concert...

And for all of you with little rockers and rockettes in the family: http://www.schoolofrock.com/

Ringing in the New Year with Mason!

Mason was all smiles when I arrived at his house for our session, making my white knuckle drive on some icy, icy roads well worth it. He is one happy (and mobile!) little guy that I had the pleasure of chasing around for an afternoon. Here are some of the highlights...
One of Mason's favorite passtimes...You can't beat tippy toes and butt cheeks!

New Years Resolution: Be a Better Blogger

I did a huge disservice to this blog in 2009, and I fully intend to stop my blogcrastinating and stay up to date this year! So check back often to see all that I've been up to in the land of toddlers and baby bumps.
