Project 365: Day 7

Why did I think introducing the kids to Super Mario Brothers on the Wii would be a good idea? Oh that's right, because it's awesome. We play as a family...always (always as a family, not always like we play all the time). And contrary to what you'd think, it's great exercise. The kids cannot stop moving around while they play and Jesse and I are usually doubled over laughing from playing with them. Laughing is the funnest kind of workout. My daughter is deceptively sneaky. She'll snatch up a big and then "oops" a fire power meant for someone else too. Then she'll tell you how sorry she is. Uh huh. I can't decide whether my son is really that good or just that lucky.  Either way it's like watching a derailed train, and heaven help you if you're in his path!

I would never consider myself to be a gamer by any means, but family time = quality time, and if our current pastime of choice comes by way of video game, and is something we can do together and makes us smile then I'm lovin' me some Mario.
